Leaving from Gocek in Turkey I will be taking a Leopard 40’ catamaran to Marseilles (south France). This is one of eight boats that are being moved at the same time belonging to a charter company. They will then be freighted to the Caribbean in time for the ‘season’ there.

The day we join the boat is 20^th October and everything should be done, dusted, finished and everyone back home within three weeks.

The route we will take will be through the Greek islands and past Crete and then between Italy and Sicily and again between Sardinia and Corsica before crossing the Gulf de Lyon. A busy time for me and the crew.

And above is a picture of the boat – one like it anyway! Lots of room for three of us so it should be a nice comfortable time.

When we arrive at our destination we will have to spend some time cleaning and scrubbing to remove all traces of us from the boat – but as they say, ‘many hands make light work!’
